Show Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Leany Announce Marriage of Their Daughter, Vauna Mae Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum N. Leany announce the marriage of their daughter, Vauna Mae Leany, to Cpl. Baker James Paxton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace B. Paxton, formerly of Beaver, and now serving serv-ing with the United States Army. The marriage took place in Salt Lake City, Dec. 15, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Baker, uncle and aunt of the groom, with Bishop Jay Thompson, formerly of Beaver, performing the ceremony cere-mony in the presence of immediate immed-iate family members. Mrs. Leany accompanied her daughter to Salt Lake City for the marriage. The groom's family attended from Beaver. Present also was his elderly grandmother of Salt Lake City. For the ceremony the bride wore a smart street dress of biege wool with corsage of gardenias and yellow rose buds. She was unattended. The date of the marriage was hurriedly set for Dec. 15, when Corporal Paxman was given a short furlough, before being transferred trans-ferred from Fort Lewis, Wash., to Camp Forrest, Tenn. The couple spent the week in Salt Lake City. Corporal Paxton left Wednesday for Tennessee. Mrs. Paxton will return to St. George for the present, joining her husband hus-band later in Tennessee if he remains there for an extended time. ' , |
