Show Sportsmanship Aim Of Progrsrn At Dixie College ' TIil' advanced schedule for ..hysical education has been plan-:':f plan-:':f at the Dixie junior college to 0 - . clop spDrb-manship by the enthusiasm en-thusiasm gained from amateur competetion of the different boys, Was started today by Coach Lloyd Shields, director. Beginning November 15, a basketball bas-ketball series will be held between the different classes including high school and college. Boys will be selected from these games for the regular squads in atheletic competition. The coach will select twenty men for the college the first week, later cutting the squad jdown to fifteen players. After the series, the gym classes 'will begin exercising in-doors for j a "Smokless Smoker." This will in-! in-! elude wrestling, boxing and tumbling. tumb-ling. Mechanical exercises will also be available to all students for the training and development needed Physical educational side games at all hours include touch football and indoor baseball at the play ground. Recreation games will in-clude'table in-clude'table tennis, checkers, horse shoes, volleyball, chess, dominoes, scientific football, polly anna, and shuffle board. These games are for all students. Competition will be planned later for these games, after af-ter the teams are organized. |
