Show Pioneer Relic Exhibit T Proposed For Arts Festival A special exhibit of pioneer relics, to be held in conjunction with the Fine Arts Festival at the Dixie junior college on December first, second and third, has been proposed by E. J. Bird, state director di-rector of Federal Artists of Utah, according to Dr. D. Elden Beck, chairman of the committee in charge of the festival. "We are asking the citizens of St. George to cooperate with us as much as possible, by bringing all their pioneer relics in to be displayed," dis-played," announces Doctor Beck. "Anvone having articles to be ex hibited must have them in by the twenty-fifth of November." A special room has been provided in which articles are to be displayed They will be under guard at aU times and 'will be protected from loss and injury, Mr. Beck states. Mr. Bird plans to be in St. George for the Fine Arts Festival; while here he will study the relics. The best objects of pioneer design will be shipped, with the permission permis-sion of the owners, to Salt Lake where they will be reproduced in paintings by Federal Artists. When the pictures are completed all articles will be returned and the owners given due recognition. The paintings will be sent to Washington Washing-ton D C.
