Show Armistice Day Program Rated "One of The Best" Outstanding Features Of Day Include Parade, Program, Football Game, Rodeo and Dance Starting with the Salute at Daybreak, Day-break, one of the greatest Armistice Armis-tice Day celebrations to be held in St. George got underway. In fact, the celebration started last night with the Cowboy Dance and the crowning of Helen Seegmiller Rodeo Queen. "The best minature parade ever to be held in St. George." was the opinion of those who lined the sidewalks to see the parade go by this morning. The parade was followed fol-lowed by the program in the Tabernacle and at 11:15 Dixie and B.A.C. kicked off for the high-football high-football game of the season in St. George. Kodeo at 2 p.m. The Lions club and Legion Rodeo is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. this afternoon. Committemen in charge of the prop-am declare that everything points to one of the best rodeos to be sponsored by this group in St. George. The rodeo is an amateur affair with local boys and men competing with' riders from the Strip and southern Utah. This program has proven very popular in the past and with the large crowd that is anticipated, anticipat-ed, performers should be at their best. Tonight there will be another big dance in the recreation hall which will round out the day's program. Everyone is invited to come to the dance and help climax one of the "best Armistice Day programs" that has ever.been staged in this city. ( |
