One of his companions noticed that he was drowning and Mrs. Wilson was frantically summond. She plunged into the pool in her dress and shoes. Fighting her floating clothing, cloth-ing, she went under the water three times before she was able to bring the boy to the surface. One of the boys helped her drag the six foot youth onto the bank where she began at once to administer ad-minister first aid. In a short time his purple face showed signs of j life and by the time help arrived he seemed to be breathing. Although Mrs. Wilson only weighs about one hundred twenty pounds, she was able to rescue this fifteen year old boy who weighed nearly one hundred and forty pounds. Recognition for her heroic work is to be sought by the Red Cross. Because of the fact that part of the work carried on by the Red Cross is the teaching of first aid, and because of the great human-tarian human-tarian part that the organization-plays organization-plays in the catastrophies of the nation, local leaders are backing the establishment of the East Washington County chapter. Bennett, vice-chairman ; George Grimshaw, roll call chairman; Mrs. Annie Hirschi, home nursing; Wayne Hinton, first aid and safety; safe-ty; Percy Wittwer, life saving and swimming; Mrs. Ora Hirschi, secretary and treasurer and Mrs. K.
