Show Springdale Mrs. Jay Crawford Reporter Miss Vivian Cox entertained the Gleaner girls at a basket lunch. The girls went up Zion's Canyon. A very enjoyable time was reported. report-ed. Anson B Call, county agent, was in attendance at the 4-H club Achievement Day last Saturday. Satur-day. All the girls received pins and expressed themselves as want ing to continue their work. Mr. and Mrs. John R. Crawford and sons have returne dfrom Idaho where they have been visiting. George Hepworth and Mrs. Annie Gibson, brother and sister to Mrs. Crawford returned with them for a visit. Awedding party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Crawford fo rMr. and Mrs. Ernest Crawford. Many beautiful and useful use-ful gifts were received. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Miles left here Saturday for St. George where he will teach in the Junior high. We regret very much losing Mr. Miles in our school here and wish him success in his work. John McAllister is teaching here in his place. We welcome Mr. and Mrs. McAllister here and hope that he will enjoy teaching here as well as we will enjoy having him. Mar, the four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Miles, had a narrow escape from drowning last week whe nhe fell , into the big ditch that crosses under the bridge by the school house. Rodgers Anderson, a little playmate play-mate held his hands until help came. Alta Jolley entertained a few of her friends at a party Friday evening. |
