Show Elementary School Mrs. Pitchforth's Second Grade We are getting ready for the Armistice Day parade. We are studying about airplanes. We want to know all about them. Our fish pond is . very pretty. We have several happy fish in it. We would like our parents to come and see it. Miss Cox's Second Grade We have made a fish pond. We planted pretty flowers around it. Phyllis Brooks brought us ten fish to live in the pond. Lawrence Adams brought us five snails. We appoint people every week to take care of our fish pond. Miss Morris' Second Grade We have finished our Indian village vil-lage and now we are going to build houses. We are studying about different types so we can decide how we want ours. This week we are studying Spanish homes. We have a verse choir and we are learning lots of poems that we like very much. Miss Seegmiller's Fifth Grade. We have finished our Mexican border about the bull fight and are going to put it up today. We are making a holiday poem book. Some of the boys and girls in our room have brought money for boards. Miss Foremaster showed us how to make pictures on them. Some of the boys and girls have decided to give them to their parents for Christmas gifts.- Miss Seegmiller bought us an aquarium for our room. We are going to have fish and snails in it. We also have some water plants for it. Wednesday morning the school held a special auditorium period in honor of Armistice Day. The following fol-lowing program was given: song, "Tenting Tonight," Fifth grade; Patrotic Reading, Junior McGregor; McGre-gor; Armistice Day Song, Third grade; "In Flander's Field," Jo Ann Cannon; group song, "America" "Ameri-ca" and the pledge of allegiance to the flag. |
