Appreciation is felt by Mrs. Dalton to the meat market and the stores in their donation to this worthy cause. A Horace Mann program was given Tuesday in assembly at the High school. Supt. Milton E. Moody was the guest speaker. The Community Activity com-Imittee com-Imittee have decided to permit no "pass outs" at the dance this winter. win-ter. Any one leaving the building in which a dance is held will be required to buy another ticket to re-enter the dance hall. Mrs. Ivan Workman is improving improv-ing rapidly from her serious operation opera-tion performed recently at the Iron county hospital. The bridge is done. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Holohan have gone to Los Angeles where Mr. Holohan, "who was bridge foreman here, has accepted a job with the Bethlehem Steel Co. Asel Stout and Ursul Hall accompanied ac-companied by Mr. Cornell have gone to California to join with a steel workers union. Mrs. Eleanor Ruesch is employed employ-ed at the local junior high school where she will teach one section of seventh grade English. Mrs. Florence Isom of Los Angeles is here visiting with her husband and family. The I.O.M. club of Washington held a meeting at the home of Mrs. Katharine Larson, a former member of the club. Those present were Mrs. Aggie Sproul, Mrs. Anne Nisson, Mrs. Caddie Neilson, Mrs. Lena Miller, Mrs. Mae Sandberg, Mrs. Ivie Hafen, Mrs. Mina Sandberg Sand-berg and Mrs. Vilate Neilson. Special guests were Mrs. Jean Isom, of Hurricane and Mrs. Cleone Iverson of La Verkin. Miss Rhoda Christensen, of Fillmore, Fill-more, sister of Mrs. L. B. Bennett is here visiting. Mrs. Annie Hirschi and Mrs. Emma Bradshaw entertained the Hurricane Ladies' Literary club Friday afternoon at the Bradshaw home. Quilting was the diversion during the afternoon. Mrs. Eva Webb gave the reading. |
