The seven stakes of the southern division were well represented and the evening was one of vital enthusiasm in the interest in-terest of Scouting and the internationally inter-nationally recognized Boy movement, move-ment, state those present. Scouting, according to Church and national authorities, is a means to an end of enlarging the scope of Boy Life. The U.S. has set the slogan of "One Boy out of every four in Scouting". In Utah alread, there are two boys out of four and the Mormon Church is ambitious to rate a third and eventually all four. This hope and the means of reaching the proposed propos-ed goal furnished the basis of talks of the Flying Squadron who presented demonstrations of the complete setup in Scouting before the large audience in Cedar City. Their schedule called for a similar meeting in Los Angeles Sunday night and in San Francisco Monday Mon-day before they return to Salt Lake City. m. |
