Show . 1 Superintendent Moody Issues Attendance Report Milton E. Moody, Washington county school superintendent, has issued his annual report on the increase and decrease shown by the attendance records for the various schools throughout the county. His report indicates that there is a continued gradual increase in-crease for the county with a few schools showing decreases which are offset by increases in others. Following ts the report as issued by Superintendent Moody: Washington county has had a slow but steady increase of children child-ren between the ages of six and eighteen over a period of years. The last seven years are typical. In 1930 the census figures showed 2418; in 1931, 2545; in 1932, 2670; (Continued on page three) Attendance At School (Continued from first page) in 1933. 2715; in 1934. 2739; in 11935, 2743; in 1936. 2782 and this year 2S19. This is an increase of 401 in seven years and an increase of thirty-seven this year over last. The report shows 100 out of school within these ages; forty-one are legally excused and fifty-nine not excused. Last year showed 120 jout of school with fifty-five excus-ied excus-ied and sixty-five not excused.
