Show Plan To Manufacture Gypsom Products Told Announcement of plans to commence com-mence the construction of a plant in St. George to manufacture gypsom gyp-som products was made today by Dixie Gypsom Products Company. It is anticipated by the company that the plant will be in production by the fore part of February. While it is the Dixie Gypsom Products company, who will be credited with starting operations, many indivudauls have worked on many individuals have worked on These groups have always had as their object the providing of a local industry to employ local labor and the producing of an essential es-sential building material at local prices to assist in the building activity of this section, said W. O. Bentley, president of the company. A thorough investigation of this field has been made with tests being made by the U. of U. staff. With the results of this investigation investi-gation at hand it was decided to go ahead. While the company has been incorporated in-corporated for $25,000 ' at $10 a share, company officials announce that not more than 400 shares will be sold at this time, practically all of which has been subscribed for. At a meeting of the stockholders on last Monday the following board of directors were elected: Pres. W. O. Bentley, Wayne Gardner, Gard-ner, L. C. Karrick, James Mc-Arthur Mc-Arthur and William Rogers. |
