Show BUNKERVILLE JJUXKERVILLE, Oct. 2 6. We bad as home missionaries at sacrament meeting yesterday Stake President Willard L. Jones, Milton Earl and John H. Witt-wer. Witt-wer. Their talks were all very interesting. Misses Verna Leavitt and Reva Bunker spent the week end at home. They are attending Dixie College. Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Reber and Juanita Pulsipher of St. George visited here last Sunday. Senator and Mrs. T. L. Oddie and Superintendent F. Edgar Mi-neer Mi-neer visited the high school here last Friday, and addressed the student body. Senator Oddie told of his recent trip to China. Several men from this town attended the meeting at Overton Over-ton Friday night when the road question was discussed by Senator Sen-ator Oddie. Our high school has the largest larg-est enrollment in the history of the school. Many students from Utah and Arizona are attending. The Nevada students are required requir-ed to pay a $2 student body fee, and non-residents pay $6. A parent-teachers meeting was held here last Monday night. The M. I. A. advanced senior class held a party at the close of the class period last week. Light refreshments were served, and a good time enjoyed by all. The work on the new bridge is progressing rapidly. All the concrete abutments are finished in the river bed and only two or three more remain to be put in on the outside. |
