Show SEASON OPENS OH GAME BIRDS NOVEMBER 7TH Two-Day Hunting Period Allowed Al-lowed on Pheasants in County and Quail May Be Taken Until December 24 According to announcement of N. B. Cook, state fish and game commissioner, open season on pheasants and quail in Washington Washing-ton county will begin at noon, Saturday, November 7. The season on pheasants will be for two days only, beginning at noon Saturrlav and ending Sundav evening. Quail may be shot until un-til December 2 4. During the two days open for pheasants, two male birds may be taken each day, and the two days' legal kill shall be the possession pos-session limit. No rifles may be used. All of that country except that portion lying within the following fol-lowing described boundary shall be open to pheasant hunting: That area which is bounded on the north by highway 91 from Santa Clara to Washington black ridge; on the south by the Utah-Arizona Utah-Arizona line, on the west by the town of Santa Clara and on the east by the Washington fields. Quail may be killed in any part of the county except the Enterprise district and the Virgin Vir-gin river territory east of Virgin City. No shooting will be allowed before noon November 7 or after 6 p. m. On the days following the 7th, which are open for pheasant and quail, hunting will be allowed between the 1 hours o 7 a. m. and 6 p. m. |
