Show FUNERAL RITES HONORJVIATRON Services Held Wednesday for Mrs. Harriet R. Snow "Who Died Sunday Night. Funeral services for Mrs. Harriet Har-riet R. Snow, who died Sunday, November 2, at 11 p. m., of a paralytic stroke, were held in the tabernacle Wednesday afternoon after-noon under the direction of Milton Mil-ton E. Moody of the bishopric of the South ward. A duet, "Jesus Lover of My Soul," was sung, by Mary McGregor Mc-Gregor and Mona Reber. Prayer, Joseph T. Atkin. Solo, "Oh, May My Walk Be Close With God", Dilworth M. Snow. The speakers were D. H. Morris, Mor-ris, Arthur F. Miles and Milton E. Moody. A duet, "Whispering Hope," was sung by Mr. and Mrs. George Lytle, and the benediction benedic-tion was Dronounced bv George V. Worthen. The grave in the St. George cemetery was dedicated by Walter Wal-ter Cannon. Mrs. Harriet R. Whipple Snow was born March 7, 1857, at Carson Valley, Nevada, and when a small child moved to St. George with her parents and has lived here since. On March 18, 1885, she was married in the St. George temple to Ma-honri Ma-honri M. Snow. At the time of her marriage her husband had six children by a former marriage mar-riage and she aided in raising them as well as rearing that number of her own. Last April, Mrs. Snow suffered suf-fered a stroke, but during the summer seemed to be recovering. recover-ing. However, she took ill again about six weeks ago and was bedfast until her death. Surviving are her six children, Elliott, Panaca; Mrs. G. W. Hail, Kenneth, Bert, and M'rs. Fred Fawcett, St. George, and Stanley of Los Angeles; her husband's hus-band's children, Mrs. Mamie Sanders. Ogden, M. M. Snow and Mrs. Ada Fawcett, St. George, and Mrs. Granville Fawcett, of Fielding. She has one brother living, v I Edward Whipple, Logandale, Ne-J Ne-J vada. and the following half-brothers half-brothers and sisters: Eli Whip- Pie and Charles Whipple of St. George, John Whipple of Sun-, Sun-, nysirto. Nevada, Leah Herman, 1 Bakersfield. and Mrs. Effie Btir-I'iston, Btir-I'iston, Salt Lake City. All of her children except Stanley, who is in a Los .Angeles .An-geles hospital, were hero for the funeral. Her brothers and sisters, sis-ters, with the exception of Mrs. Burriston, were all here. |
