Word has been received here that Miss LaVern Carlow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Carlow of Beaver is to be married fo Earl Tanner, also of that city, Jan. 18. The Carlows resided re-sided here for several years. The bride is a highly esteemed young lady mi the community joins in hearty congratulations. Word has also been received that Miss Lillian Prisbrey of St. George and Mr. La Von McQuaid were married mar-ried August 27, 1927 at Parowan, Utah. The groom is a son of Mrs. Lizzie McQuaid Mc-Quaid of this place. The community joins to congratulations to the young couple. A number of our townspeople attended at-tended Leadership Week and Union meeting at St. George. Ducan McArthur is here doing repair re-pair work on the state highway. Our farmers are rejoicing over the storm which promises good crops an-jr an-jr other year. Mrs. Minnie Harris and daughter J - Ethel were in St. George Friday night. Miss Maxine Olsen returned to- St. George Sunday where she is attending school. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. F. Hansen made a business trip to St. George last week. |
