Show HURRICANE LOCALS Irving Riddle of Cedar City is in town on business. Elden Schmutz of New Harmony was in town Saturday getting supplies for his goat herd. Emerald Stout is home from Zion where he has been working on the tunnel. Leland Stout is in Santa Clara and vicinity where he was called to fill a short term mission. m Leo A. Snow of St. George was in town the fore part of the week on business connected with the new sewerage sew-erage system. Bishop Chas. Anderson and Merle Brinkerhoff from Gl'endale were in town the fore part of the week en route to their respective sheep herds. Miss Clara Graff of Washington, the second grade teacher, has gone home to stay a few weeks on account of ill health. Paul Gates has accepted a position in the office of the Dixie Motor Co. of St. George which Stanley Bradshaw has just leased. . Mr. and Mrs. Rial Black entertained a few of their friends at their home January 15th. A delicious lunch was served and a very nice time was had by all. William Ruesch, Jr., who owns a ranch at Antelope, also sheepmen owning own-ing land and having sheep in that vicinity, with the aid of the county, are repairing the road from Goulds south to the Divide. The following people attended the ball game and dance at St. George Saturday night: Dr. and Mrs. Aiken, Robert Perin, the Misses Grace Woodbury, Wood-bury, Freeda Fulmer, Ethel Stratton, Leola Button and Mrs. Paul Thurston. Thurs-ton. Grant Langston and Anthony Isom are still working on the ' new seats for the gymnasium. They expect to have thjem finished in time for the first league game to be played here Friday night. |
