Quite a ' number of our townspeople townspeo-ple attended Leadership week at St. George. Leland Stout, Miss Emma Woodbury and Leslie Isom were in St. George during the week end. Mrs. R. P. Woodbury attended the funeral of John Squire in St. George last Wednesday. a guest at the home of Dr. and Mrs. G. Aiken. Mrs. Glen Williams and children are spending the winter here with her mother, Mrs. Mary W. Hall. Bishop Cannon of the fifth ward of Provo was in town Sunday and attended at-tended our Sunday school. He was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Parker. Lorenzo Parker, principal of the Hurricane schools, with his father, were in St. George Friday. They attended at-tended the basketball game that night. Quite a number of our townspeople went to Cedar City Friday evening to attend the league basketball game between be-tween Beaver and B. A. C. Miss Rosalba Gubler of LaVerkin is teaching the second grade in the absence ab-sence of their teacher, Miss Clara Graff. . Ether Wood has been called to fill a short term mission at Enterprise. He left Monday morning to begin his labors. We have been having real spring weather for several weeks but winter has come again in the shape of a light snowstorm. The farmers and fruit growers are hoping that it will stay winter for a while yet so that the crops will be safer when spring does come. |
