Mrs. John Stout of Hurricane was admitted to the Washington County hospital for treatment on Monday. Dr. and Mrs. D. A. McGregor" made a short business trip to Salt Lake City the first of the week, returning Tuesday evening. Dr. J. K. Bracken and Dr. A. L. Ingelsby of Bingham and Warren War-ren Cox returned Sunday from a three-days trip to Pierce's Ferry and the Grand canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Clark and children, Mrs. Hannah Pike and Mrs. Francis Knight left Sunday for Provo. Mrs. Pike and Mrs. Knight have been visiting here for two weeks. Mrs. Angus Morris and children left Thursday for their home in Parowan after spending the past five weeks here visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Morris, Mor-ris, Sr. Levi M Harmon returned Friday Fri-day from Los Angeles where he has spent the past five months. Accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Harmon, he left Saturday for Price, Utah. Mrs. Wm. Brooks and Mrs. Jos. Empey, Jr., entertained Saturday afternoon from 3 until 6 at the home of the latter at a 500 party. Six tables of cards were played, followed .by a two-course luncheon. The high ' score prize was awarded Mrs. Hannah Pike and the consolation to Mrs. Francis Fran-cis Knight of Provo. Misses LaPrele Pace and Mary Whitehurst and Mi's. . Mae Pace and Mrs. Vera Karigan entertained entertain-ed Sunday evening at a 500 party at the home of Miss Pace in honor of Walter Pace's birthday. Over 30 guests were present. The men's prize for high score was won by Grover C. Conger and the ladies' prize for high score by Mrs. Lyle Mitchell. |
