Show DEBATE TEAM TO CALIFORNIA The Dixie College debating team. John T. Woodbury, Jr., coaoh, and Miss Marion White, winner of the Washington birthday oration, ora-tion, left Monday for a practice debating tour of southern California. Cali-fornia. Members of the team are Lewis Pulsipher, Alton Fordham, Francis Leavitt and Rulon V. Cottam. Cot-tam. The last named three are also the extemporaneous speaking contest team. The Dixie representatives will meet San Bernardino junior college. col-lege. Pasadena junior colleee and Lens Beach junior college. The debating de-bating question is, Resolved: That the nations cf the world should adopt a policy of free trade. Extemporaneous Ex-temporaneous speaking contest subjects will be taken from twenty important American problems that the students have studied. One hour before time fcr the conies the teams will draw for subjects, and prepare their speeches. It has been left optional with the schools met whether the contests are to have jud?es or fr? non-decision. The team will return home Saturday. |
