Show Manila 1 Clara Robinson I Phone 784-5333 I PTO Variety Show presented Apr. 22 The PTO Variety Show was presented on Friday. The funds from this variety show and a picture donated to the PTO by Aleta Ellsworth is to go to help one of Manila High School's graduating seniors go on to college. The program included a flag ceremony by Scout Troop 26; kindergarten, a song; Brownie Troop 602, the Can Can dance; Flaming Gorge Elementary third and fourth graders singing, "Flying Free"; Carla Coburn, song; Manila High School chorus, vocal selection; Twila Keterson, Mary Ruble and Mari Gean Campbell, song; Shari and Karinda Briggs, vocal selection; Girl Scout Troop 582, the Charleston; Wendy Long,, guitar selec--... tion; Genevieve Dickerson, flute solo; Celeste Skabelund, baritone solo; Lisa Briggs, bass clarinet solo; Christy Jo Triplett, arrangement from Mary Pop-pins; Pop-pins; Melanie Wilde, vocal solo; Janis Anderson, vocal selections; the Skabelund family, "Friends"; M&L Club, fashion show of hats, Burl Twit-chell Twit-chell and Annie Lambert, mandolin and guitar selections; the Manila Girl's Symphony, Sym-phony, chamber music. Flaming Gorge Wrestling Club met the Mt. View AAU Wrestling Club in competition com-petition at the Manila High Shcool on Saturday. There were 46 wrestlers competing. com-peting. Manila had four first place winners. win-ners. They were Gregg Lambert, Billy Rosser, Chad Leith and Brant Meinrod. Second place wrestlers were Zeb Beck, Stew Leith, Andy Meinrod, Cory Hatch, Todd Beckstead, Jessie Campbell, Justin Archibald, Paul Keddy, Virtus Keddy and Cliff Anderson. Third place winners were Sean Hughes, Robert Hatch and Jason Archibald. The M&L Homemaker Club held their April meeting at the home of Aleta Ellsworth Thursday. Business for the evening consisted of turning in recipes for the cookbook the club is making, deciding on covers and dividing sections, and paying for the printing. Infant's car seats were discussed and it was decided to order two seats. These are to rent to people. An arts and crafts contest was announced for the Sweet- |
