" Mischief problem at post office A lot of mischief is taking place during dur-ing the time when the children waiting in the post office for the morning school bus are there. Such things as kicking holes in the walls, tampering with mail boxes, standing and jumping from the corner table, cigarettes being smoked and strewn around, and most huzardess of all is trash being lit and pushed through the mail slots. Tampering with the U.S. government mail office is a federal offense. If this misconduct continues, the Jensen 1'osl Office will have to be locked from 5 p. in to 8:30 a.m. and would be a hindermenl to many community citizens. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Ainge took theii daughter, Susan Moody, of Meeker, Col orado on a trip to California where they went to many points of interest. They were in the tornado that touched in California and experienced the power outage while in Disneyland. They also dipped into Tijuana, Mexico. Visitors at the Boyd Bascom home Sunday were Boyd's mother Gladys Bascom of Vernal and his niece Julie Rowe and her daughter of Provo. David Dudley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Dudley, was elected Cub Scout ol the year. This honor was given to David at the Cub pack meeting Wednesday, April 13. Tim Webster's parents and sisters of Meeker, Colorado were visiting Sunday. They toured the Dinosaur National Monument while in the area. Rayma McCarrel and son motored to Salt Lake to attend the mission report of her cousin. While there she also visiled her husband's parents and other relatives. Blanche Wilkins spent a short while in the hospital last week. While she was there, her sister Venice Pierce of Meeker, Colo., came for a visit. Visitors at the Newell Snow home last Wednesday were Hilda Morgan, a sister to Newell, and Edna Raines, who is Alice's sister. Also their daughter Jen ny Mirriam of Meeker came to spend the day. She came from Meeker with Venice Pierce. Mayda Dudley is improving from a broken ankle that she received recently when stepping wrong on her foot on the outside steps to her home. The funeral for Norma Snow's father was held in Craig, Colo., Monday. They interred him, Mr. Gardner, in the Jensen Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Baker of St. George were guests at the Boyd Snow home Saturday. They are the parents of Mary Anne and came to see their new grandson. |
