ASHLEY PTA donated two computers named "Spice" and "P.T." and a printer to the school. The money was raised through their spice sales Ashley welcomes two new computers The students of Ashley Elementary took time out from their classwork Friday Fri-day to welcome two new computers to the school. These computers were purchased with money the PTA earned by selling spice sets earlier in the year. The PTA also purchased a printer. The computers were decorated to look like children and given names. The girl is known as "Spice" and the boy is "P.T." The children had an opportunity to express their thanks to the PTA officers. of-ficers. It is hoped that each student at Ashley will have the opportunity to use and enjoy this new equipment. Upcoming events at Ashley will include in-clude the Health Fair and the PTA Fun Day. The Health Fair will be held on May 4. All of the students are encouraged to enter a safety poster contest. The deadline for this contest is May 2 and entries en-tries should illustrate the theme, "Summer "Sum-mer Safety." The Health Fair has been in the planning for several months, under the direction of Gayle Kindt, health commissioner. com-missioner. The PTA Fun Day will be held the end of May and will be a day of games and fun for all of the students. The officers and commissioners for the new year are busy making plans and also attending the PTA convention in Salt Lake City. The convention is in progress at this time. These new officers are: Myke and Cheya Weber, president: Mr. Len Got-fredson, Got-fredson, second vice president; Mrs. LaRue Abplanalp. third vice president (teacher representative); Mrs. Ina Storey, legislative vice president; Mrs. Debi Ramsey, secretary; Debbie Weight, treasurer; Chris White, they had.
