Show Robbery suspect caught but $36 lost A gas skip, robbery, shoplift and what police are calling a "drunken spree" that swept through the Vernal area Monday ended with the arrest of four from Colorado. Vernal Police were notified of a "spree" when a man entered the 7-11 Store at 100 North Vernal Avenue to cash a check. The store refused to cash the check and as the man exited, he asked two juvenile boys if they could change a $5 bill. One of the juveniles pulled an envelope with $36 in March of Dimes money from his pocket. The man snatched snat-ched the envelope and escaped in a car with a man and two females. Both juveniles tried to detain the man, but both were repealed, police report. Later the suspects were reported to have shoplifted some 12-packs of beer from a store in Dinosaur, Colo. Rangely police and Rio Blanco County Coun-ty Sheriff deputies arrested the foursome and Vernal Police identified them as being be-ing involved in the robbery in Vernal. The group admitted to a gas skip in Vernal at a convenience store before they went to the 7-11.
