Show Bowlers collect awards The Funtimers League's annual awards banquet was held May 6 at the Dinaland Country Club. Seventy members were in attendance. A.J. Construction nabbed first place team honors and Gardner's Duraclean placed second. Ross Construction pocketed third palce and J.C. Trailers netted fourth place. Sunset Sports garnered last place. Gardner's Duraclean nabbed team series scratch honors at 2400 and A.J. Construction netted team series handicap honors at 2980. Chandler Drilling captured team game scratch at 876 and Ross Construction garnered team game handicap at 1012. Nabbing individual honors were: A division, Darlean Jensen, series scratch, 562; Virginia Clayton, series handicap, 648; Arlene Gardner, game scratch, 221; Joyce Johnson, game handicap, 252; B division, Wanda Holmes, series scratch, 510; Brenda Klunz, series handicap, 646; Teresa Davis, game scratch, 221; Sherree Johnson, game handicap, 252 and C division, series scratch, Pam Jackson, 435; Linette Rollins, series handicap, 614; game scratch, Barbara Schultz, 212; Melinda Rollins, game handicap, 262. Gardner was the highest average bowler at 162 and the most improved bowler was Schultz at 14 plus pins. Bagging sportsmanship trophies were Cleo Mortensen, Bolina Aquilar, Sharon Hart, Cindy Mortensen, Clayton, Klunz, Lesha Hacking, Gardner, Joyce Johnson and Sandy Sulser. Velda Anderton, Maria Kent, Aguilar, Hart, Clayton, Linda Banks, Jensen, Rollins, Garnder, Davis, Vera Billings and Myrna Hardinger were given perfect attendance awards. Special awards were given to Billings, Clayton and Gardner for ten years of perfect attendance. |
