Senior citizens build ramp to Center Since the Golden Age Center, is South 100 West, was built it has needed a ramp on the west entrance, but it wasn't until some industrious sesor citizen set their minds and backs to it that the ramp was built. The , county donated the materials . and ' provided a backhoe. The old entry vy w as torn out and a new one built with a 31-foot ramp. The ramp is benr.ed . asphalt on the sides making it accessible ac-cessible from all sides for people ia wheelchairs. The entire project, including p.:l-i up handrails, cost $240 and accord-.; a Thacker, they did an excellent job. "You can put a stream of water at the top of the ramp and it will flow eve:-)' to the bottom, and the cement is w quality, see the difference in color from the old cement," Thacker boasts But the best thing about theratr.pis "that we enjoyed building it."
