Kommonettes set Nov. 1 8 for annual auction bazaar With Christmas gift-giving in mind, the Kommonettes are preparing for their annual auction bazaar. A community com-munity service club in Vernal, they will hold the event Wednesday, Nov. 18 in the Uintah High School AVA room beginning at 7 p.m. Auctioneers Lorraine and David Haralson will auction homemade handicrafts, purses,. toys, aprons, clothes, Christmas decorations and baked goods. Two quilts will be given ' away and there will be door prizes and refreshments, according to Bazaar Chairman Carma Bascom. Club members recently got together at Glenn-Mar Arts where Maureen Spencer, owner, helped them with craft items she designed herself. They included in-cluded a "super cornhusker potpourri doll," padded picture ornaments, cinnamon centerpieces and a "Bonnet girl potpourri." These are some of the items that will be auctioned Nov. 8. All proceeds from the auction bazaar will go toward the purchase of Vernal Community Swimming Pool playground equipment. |
