BYUWINS CLASSIC Brigham Young University clobbered Western Carolina 86 to 63 Saturday to win its sixth crown in eight years. Steve Trumba, the tournament's most valuable player after 27 points Friday against Idaho State and 22 more Saturday, was the catalyst as BYU pulled away from a 17-16 lead at 10:58 to gain some breathing room at 26-20 with 9:02 left. After Roberts hit a pair of free throws to pull the Cougars even at 16 and then ahead 17-16. Trumbo followed in his own miss, then hit three of four free throws in a 17 second span and Greg Kite got a stuff shot.
