Bagley given bridal shower A personal shower was given for September Bagley Dec. 5 by Betty Cloward, Zella Pike, Virginia Fergenson and Loraine Paulson at the Cloward residence. Those who attended from out of town were Leanna and Mary Arrowchis of Provo and Darla Pike of Salt Lake City. Wayne Gardner and September Bagley were married Dec. 10 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Those who went out with them were Wayne's mother Irene Gardner, September's parents Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bagley and also Wayne's foster parents came from Idaho to witness the marriage. A reception was held for them Friday night, Dec. 11 in the Whiterocks chapel and an open house will be held at the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Chester Waylen in Idaho Dec. 15. Mr. and Mrs. John Dicky went on vacation to Los Angeles, Calif. Larry Squire who spent some time in a Grand Junction hospital lor surgery on his hand returned last week. Don Simmons was sustained a High Priest in stake conference last Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Gardner attended church in Myton Sunday where Wayne was a speaker. In a school board meeting Tuesday night bids were accepted to start on a new school in the Lapoint area. The deadline was set for a year from now. For this school to be completed, all students from Whiterocks, Tridell and Lapoint will be attending this school. Bishop and Mrs. Blayne Morrill went to Salt Lake City Sunday afternoon to pick up their daughter-in-law Machell and son who are flying home. They will be here for two weeks. Then Bart will come for Christmas and take his family back to Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Cooene Bagley and Cyntha went to Provo last week to look for employment em-ployment and house for Cyntha who will be attending BYU next year. Mrs. Virginia Fergensen was hostess to her bridge club Thursday night at the Grill Cafe in Roosevelt. The Branch Relief Society held their Christmas party Tuesday night. Articles Ar-ticles for Christmas were worked on. Lunch was served and presents exchanged. ex-changed. Mrs. Loren Pike has been taking care of her grandchildren while their mother Sandy Secakuku was in the Vernal hospital for gall bladder surgery. Uleeta Mullins and son are spending the weekend here with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Don Simmons. Uleeta lives in Rock Springs. A surprise birthday party was given for Howard Pike on his 16th birthday Dec. 9 by the mutual class at tne home of Glenda Arrowchis. Connie Pike made the birthday cake. |
