Show U.S. synfuels board meets in Salt Lake City The U.S. Synthetic Fuels Corp. directors met in a formal session Fri'l;iy in S;i It Lake City. This was the fir:,t time the corporation cor-poration board rias met outside the nation's capitol since it was appointed by President Keaan and confirmed by the V S. Senate. The board has five rnemU'rs, but eventually will have seven. There is no westerner on the board, and Cidv. Scott M. Matheson has urged the appointment of Laurence H. C & A Companies fnc, tar sands project, Grand County, proposed by C & A Companies. -Syntana Utah Project, Uintah County, a joint venture of the Synthetic Oil Corp., and Quintana Mineral Corp. - While River Shale Project, Uin'ah County Phillip;; Petroleum Co., and Sunoco Energy Development Co. -Cottonwood Wash Project, Uinlah County, Maj;ic Circle Knergy Corp. - Plateau Project, Duchesne County, proposed by a wholly owned subsidiary of Suburban Propane Gas Corp. -Para ho Ute Commercial Shale Oil Project, Uintah County, a joint venture of tlx; Pa ratio Development Corp., and the Ute Indian Trilie. - Kmery Synfuels Project, Emery County, a coal falsification project by Emery Synfuels Associates. - Aarian Development Project, Vernal, a tar sands project by Aarian Development Inc. |
