Show V Manila ' Clara Robinson Phone 784-3463 Ill 9 Doris Zohner sworn in Doris Zohner is the new Town Board member who was appointed to complete com-plete the unexpired term of Dolores Redden who moved to Salt Lake City this fall. Mrs. Zohner was given the oath of office by Town Clerk Kathy Meinrod at the regular meeting of the Town Council held at the Senior Citizen Center Dec. 10. Attending the meeting besides the town officials Mayor Charles Willis, council persons Mabel Anderson, William Robinson, Joe Friedman, clerk Kathy Meinrod. building inspector Joe Johnson, there were the following , people: Mrs. Zohner, Linda Slaugh, Carole Scott (who will become mayor the first of January), Jolene Carton (who will become council person in January), Averil Schofield and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Maloy. Vance Grubb was selected to be the bus driver for the Washam Route which had bee;n driven by Frank Twitchell ' who moved to Ogden the first of December. Mr. Grubb's hiring is pending on his taking the training now required for bus drivers. There were several other drivers who have taken the training, , but several bus drivers were eliminated through health problems or by not having the special training program now required. The Thursday game Manila High School was to play with Tabiona at . Manila was cancelled due to the death and funeral of the team's manager'' Randall Despair. The Manila boys dropped the other two games to Park City Friday and to Farson on Saturday. Twila Kesterson is getting about on crutches the past week since returning to school. A volleyball tournament is scheduled Dec. 21 at the Manila High School gym.
