Show Channel 20 translator equipment installed Channel 20 KSTU on UHF channel 51 Blue Mountain translator is now on the air, according to Joe LeBeau, county television technician. After experiencing some delay last week because of an injury, LeBeau made the equipment installation Monday, Mon-day, and stated the picture was very clear. Uintah County purchased the Channel Chan-nel 20 translator equipment and has agreed to maintain it. LeBeau reported he also placed translator equipment for Channel 11, KBYU on Blue Mountain so it will be ready when FCC approval is given. KBYU will be signalled on UHF Chan nel 49. FCC approval was received for Channel Chan-nel 20 translator station on Blue Mountain Moun-tain last week. Duchesne County and Cable TV have been picking up Channel 20 from the Tabby Mountain translator installed by LeBeau several months ago when the FCC permit was received. LeBeau reported that a UHF aerial must be installed to get good reception and that it must be pointed directly towards the translator antenna with no obstructions. Tuning an aerial for UHF is more critical that VHF, stressed LeBeau. The UHF band selectorknob number 51 is used for Channel 20 and not 20, LeBeau also stressed. |
