Show Lewis Timothy dies in Salt Lake City Lewis Andres Timothy, 87, of Vernal passed away April S, 1981 in a Salt Lake City hospital. Born Oct. 1, 1893 in Vernal to Heber and Esther Elizabeth Vernon Timothy. Married Inez Elizabeth Reynolds, Oct. 12, 1921 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was the owner and operator of the Maeser Lumber Company for 36 years. A veteran of World War I, he served an LDS mission in the northwestern states. He was a High Priest, devoted Book of Mormon student, high school athlete representing the Uintah Basin at state track meet and won the hammer throw, attended law school, University of Utah, and studentbody president of McCune School of Music. Survivors are his wife of Vernal; son, Lewis L. of Salt Lake City; daughters, Mrs. Miland (Lois) Knight, Mrs. Ron (Elva) McCamey of Vernal, Mrs. Oral S. (Rose) Miles of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Willard (Donna) Kunzler of Roosevelt, Mrs. Delvin (Oral) Dieter of Paso Robles, Calif., Mrs. Michael (Gayl) Davis of Walnut Creek, Calif.; 31 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Ben (Esther) Dye of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Ole (Telintha) Rasmussen of Ballard; and many nieces and nephews. Two sons preceded him in death. Funeral services were in the Maeser Stake Center and Bishop Ronald Robb officiated. Miland Knight gave the family prayer. Following a violin solo by Weldon Bastain, Alan Kunzler gave the invocation. Bishop Robb gave some remarks, two poems were recited by Gayl Davis and Rose Miles, Willard1 r - ft - . . V- . ""! LEWIS TIMOTHY Kunzler sang a solo and Norwood Hardy spoke. Arzie Adams spoke, followed by a grandson, John Kunzler. A musical was rendered by his grandsons, grand-sons, and Harvey McKee spoke. Ed Jenkins gave the benediction. Prelude and postlude music was by Jerry Carroll. Burial was in the Maeser Fairview Cemetery. Willard Kunzler dedicated the grave. Pallbearers were Brent Kunzler, Craig Knight, Dan Timothy, Don Kunzler, David Kunzler, Rick Watson, Mike Davis and DelRay Dieter. Honorary pallbearers were the High Priests. |
