Show Services honor Linda Sue Tinker . .Manila Special Funeral services for Linda Sue Tinker, 32, were held Saturday, May 2 at 2 p.m. at the Manila LDS Chapel. Officiating and conducting the service was Bishop William M. Briggs of the Manila ward. The family prayer was offered by Randy Asay. Opening prayer for the service was by Cloyd Reed. A song, "I Know That My Redeemer Lives," was sung by Leeanne Redden and Kristee Briggs accompanied by Mrs. Harvard Redden. The obituary was given by Bishop Gary Morrill. Speaker was James Briggs. A song, "I Often Go Walking," was sung by Twila Kesterson accompanied ac-companied by Mrs. Stan Stewart. Remarks were made by Bishop Briggs. Closing prayer was by Norman W. Long. Prelude and postlude music was played by Christine Pollock. Linda Sue Tinker died at the University Hospital in Salt Lake City following a brave fight with cancer. Linda Sue Tinker was born in Rock Springs, Wyo., on Nov. 7, 1948 to Charles and Josephine Dearth Jamieson. She grew up in the Eden-Farson Eden-Farson area. She was active in 4-H and it was while in 4-H that she met her future husband. She graduated salutatorian of her class. Later she attended USU in Logan, and was awarded the Kiwanis Award in home economics at graduation. She married John Gale Tinker of Manila in Rock Springs on June 29, 1969. This marriage was later solmenized in the Logan LDS Temple. Her husband was called into the service and went to Viet Nam. Sue graduated from USU and when her husband returned from Viet Nam and was still in the service, she joined him in Virginia and taught school there. When her husband was released from the service, they came home to Manila and ranched on Henry's Fork. They had 3 daughters. Her husband preceeded her in death on July 24, 1977. She is survived by three daughters, Jamie Sue, Jolene and Gayle Marie Manila; her father, Charles Jamieson of Eden, Wyo. ; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Mary Kay) Zakotnik, Kemmerer, Wyo., and Mrs. Gary (JoAnn) Zakotnik of Eden, Wyo. |
