Show RICE 'N' TOMATOES 1 cup uncooked rice 12 cup chopped onions 2 tablespoons butter or margarine 1 cup beef broth 1 can (14-12 to 16 ounces) tomatoes, cut up or 3 medium, fully ripe tomatoes, chopped 1 teaspoon salt 14 teaspoon seasoned pepper Cook rice and onions in butter until rice is golden, about 20 minutes. Add broth, tomatoes, and seasonings. sea-sonings. Heat to boiling, stir once, reduce heat, cover, and simmer about 18 minutes, or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed. ab-sorbed.
