Show ( Naples I Jo Openshaw E. Southam returns for birthday party Last week Ralph and Nellie Southam went to Salt Lake City to get their son Everett who came via air from Chico. Calif, to join his wife and family and attend the openhouse at Jensen for his father-in-law William Turner's 80th birthday. Wayne Puck has been in the Ashley Valley Medical Center the past week. Fern Everett of Fruita, Colo, spent the weekend with her mother Nellie Richens. Brenda and Ronda Olsen entertained at a birthday dinner Sept. 25 in honor of their mother Hazel Olsen's birthday at the home of the Dan Olsens. Present were Charles and Hazel Olsen, the Dan Olsen family and the Wade Olsen family. Angala Coonradt and son Mark spent the weekend in Salt Lake City with her children and grandchildren. Kenneth Goodrich, son of Verdin and Peggy Goodrich, has enrolled at the U of U in Salt Lake City for the coming school year. Harold and LaVon Allred of Orem visited Ralph and Nellie Southam last week. Edna Call and Amy Pope went to Bountiful and Salt Lake City Saturday. In Bountiful they visited Edith Goodrich. Mrs. Pope returned Saturday Satur-day evening. Mrs. Call will return next Wednesday. Word was received last week of the death of Mil by Lybbert of Raymond, .Alberta. Canada. Milby was a former Naples Ward member and a brother-in-law to Harold, Ross and Grant Merrell. Marlin Moon of Salt Lake City was an overnight guest at the Ralph Southam home Wednesday night. Kenneth and Annette Reynolds and sons went to Provo to Kenneth's missionary reunion Saturday. Harry and Dee Loris Jones attended the State Fair in Salt Lake City Sept. 14, 15, and 16. Dallas and Kathy Richardson of Salt Lake City and their mother Sunny Richardson Barber of Apache, Ariz., visited Harry and Dee Loris Jones and family, Von and Lula Stewart and family and other relatives and friends here recently. Dr. Greg Mortensen of Seattle, Wash, and three children visited during the weekend with Robert and Teresa Kay and family and Bruce and Ida Mortensen. Mor-tensen. Dr. Mortensen is the son of the Bruce Mortensens and Teresa Kay's brother. Sunday, Sept. 27 members of the Ben Richards family met at his home to help him celebrate his 72nd birthday. The group enjoyed ice cream and cake. |
