Show OURAY REFUGE OPEN TO DUCK HUNTS Leota Bottom of the - Ouray National Wildlife Refuge will be open to duck hunting, Refuge Manager Herbert G. Troester said today. He stated that only ducks and coots may be hunted there, not geese. All State and Federal laws apply. The season opens at noon on October 3 until sunset and then is from one half hour before sunrise to sunset each day. He stated further that the ponds freeze and most ducks are gone from there long before the end of the season. Travel by vehicle will be limited to the main bluff road. |
