They were married on July 25, 1930, later it was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Taylor's to hold 50th wedding anniversary Ed and Erma Taylor will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Friday, July 25. They were married July 25, 1930 in Vernal. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Reuben Edgar was born Feb. 26, 1905 in Vernal, son ot Reuben and Charlotte Green Taylor. He spend his working years in Vernal and Colorado. He retired from the Moon Lake Electric Association on March 1, 1972 after 17 years of service. He has since been associated with his sons in Taylor Enterprises, farming and stock raising. Erma Mae Beck was born September 18, 1908, daughter of Peter Stephan and Rosella C. Freestone Beck, in Vernal. She graduated from the Uintah High School in 1926. She is interested in creatvie arts and enjoys writing limericks, poetry and light verse. A number of her poems have been published and she has written hundreds of special occasion poems requested by her friends and relatives. She is a member of the Uintah Poetry and Utah State Poetry Societies. Erma is known by her many young friends as the popsicle lady. Ed and Erma are active members of the Vernal Second Ward of the LDS church. They are the parents of three sons: E. Rae, Gary B. andLanny D., all of Vernal. They have ten grandchildren, grand-children, nine of which are still living and eight great grandchildren. A golden wedding garden reception, given by their children will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of Rae and Barbara Taylor, 148 West 500 South. All friends, neighbors and relatives are cordially invited. No presents please. Only your presence is requested. |
