Show Seal Campaign Hears Wind up In Utah The annual Christmas Seal Campaign has reached reach-ed 84 per cent of its $75,-COO1 $75,-COO1 goal in Utah, according to Lyman M. Smart, President Presi-dent of the Utah Tuberculosis Tubercu-losis and Health Association. Associa-tion. "We are well pleased with the program thus far and express our thanks to the thousands of people who have made contributions contribu-tions large and small," said Mr. Smart. Contributions to the end of 1970 total $62,895.74. "We've got $12,000 to go to reach our goal by the time the fund drive closes on March 31, 1971." Mr. Smart said. "We are anxious anx-ious to remind Utahr.s that the Christmas Seal Campaign Cam-paign extends beyond the Christmas season". "Many people get so rushed during the holidays that they lay aside their Christmas Seal letter, intending in-tending to answer it later. ,A good way to start the new year is to return the Christmas Christ-mas Seal envelope with a contribution that will aid the fight against emphysema, emphy-sema, tuberculosis, air pollution, pol-lution, and cigarette smoking," smo-king," Mr. Smart said. The Christmas Seal Campaign Cam-paign is the only source of funds for the 55-year.old organization that provides community protection and service. |
