To go into effect immediately, imme-diately, the new policy on accounts receivable and collection of accounts defines de-fines the hospital's role and responsibility to patients, pa-tients, and the patient's responsibilities for bills owed the hospital, as follows fol-lows : 1 The individual patient pat-ient is responsible to the hospital for payment of his bill.
