Show Services Held In Ogden for A. J. Mcsrsing Alma June Marsing, 70, died recently at his home in Ogden after a long illness. ill-ness. He was born Sept. 21,1900 at Desert Lake, the son of Alma and Annabell Thayne Marsing. Most of his childhood was spent on the ranch on Price River Ri-ver near Woodside. He and Edith Wells were imarried Jan. 10, 1923 at Victor, and six children were born to them. Survivors, Survi-vors, in addition to his widow, wi-dow, are: Robert W. Marsing, Mar-sing, West Point, Utah ; Mrs. Lester (Norma) Bryan, Bry-an, Soifth Weber; Mrs. Bruce (June) Barton, Par. agonah; and Mrs. Gary (Sherma Eves, Salt Lake City. Two sisters also al-so survive, Mrs. Wayman (Rose Ann) Ward, Oro-ville, Oro-ville, Wash.; and Mrs. Joseph (Delia) Del Vec-chiov Vec-chiov Newcastle, Utah, and 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Mr. Marsing was a livestock live-stock man and miner, and his family lived in the Green River-Hanksville area, ar-ea, sometimes in out-of-the-way places. His name is carried by an isolated river bottom on the Green River where they lived one year when the children were smlall. They spent several years in the Hite-White Hite-White Canyon area, where Mr. Marsing was deputy sherff of Garfield County. In the early 1950's, the Marsings obtained a BLM lease on land at the junction junc-tion of the Temple Moun-tain-Hanksville road south of Green River and established estab-lished Temple Junction Service, a gas station and cafe. When the main building buil-ding burned a few years later, they sold the remainder remain-der of the improvements and moved to Beryl, Utah and later to Paragonah. After luntr sureery in 1963 they established their home in Ogden. Arrangements are under the direction of Lindouist & Sons. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 1 p.m. with interment in the Ogden Cemetery. |
