Show Top Acts Slated at State Fair jj A spectacular lineup of entertainment with more than a dozen top-rated acts will be featured at the 1971 Utah State Fair, according to Hugh C. Bninghurst, director di-rector of the Division of Expositions. The entertainment enter-tainment ranges from, contemporary con-temporary and country-wes-: tern vocalists to circus-like wild animal shows. "This year's entei'tain-mcnt, entei'tain-mcnt, without a doubt, brings to our Fair-goers the widest variety of acts that we have had to date," said Mr. Bringhurst. "Over $75,000 worth of talent will be presented ' during the ten-day run of the Fair, assuring our Utah families and youns people and oldsters alike the most entertaining ten days in the history of the Utah State Fair." The Fair will begin on September 9th and . run though September 19th. Charley Pride, the very successful Country and Western favorite, will appear ap-pear at the Fair for the Third consecutive year Friday Fri-day and Saturday nights. Ferlin Husky and the Hush .Puppies will be featured Tuesday and Wednesday, September 14 and 15, and Ferlin wil do his famous characterization of "Simon Crum." Top record-selling Jody Miller will also entertain en-tertain on "those dates. On Thursday and Friday, September Sep-tember 16 and 17, Fair-goers Fair-goers will have the opportunity oppor-tunity to be entertained by one of America's hottest, current record and television televi-sion start, Lynn Anderson; and also appearing on those same dates will be the warm and friendly Country favorite, Sonny James and the Southern Gentlemen.
