Show New City Commuter Service Offered By Frontier Beginning July 1st Long - sought by Moab residents, commuter - type airline service to Denver and Salt Lake City -will -be initiated by Frontier Airlines Air-lines beginning July 1, it was announced this - week in) Denver. A third Moab flight will be added by the airlines, to depart from Canyonlands Field at 6:-15 a.m. This flight will stop in Grand Junction, and then will go on non-stop to Denver. Salt Lake Citv passengers can catch connecting con-necting flights in Grand Junction for that City. Tim Mulville, station manager for Frontier in Moab, stated that the new flight will be called Flight 532. It will service Moab m ad.litinn to flights that depart de-part here at 2:51 p.m. and an evening flight which arrives ar-rives at Canyonlands Field at 8:32 p.m. The evening flight will term n ate in Moab, Mr. Mulville slated. The Con-vair Con-vair 530 will be parked at Canyonlands Field all night, and the crew will stay over each night in Moab. They will originate Flight 552 the following morning. The morning flight which leaves Moab at 6:45 a.m. will arrive in Denver at S:15 a.m. At this time, Mr. Mulville was not sure of -the arrival time for the connecting flight into Salt Lake City due to construe- lion work at the Grand Junction airport which vill disrupt traffic patterns to some degree for a month. He did state, however, that Moab people would be able to leave in the morning, mor-ning, conduct a good deal of mid-day business in Salt Lake City or Denver, leave those cities in the late afternoon af-ternoon or evening and ar rive back in Moab at 8:32 p.m. the same day. Good connections will be ' available from either the morning or. mid-a'temoon flight in Denver for Dallas, St. Louis, Kansas City, Chicago, New York, Detroit De-troit and other major metropolitan met-ropolitan areas of the country, Frontier stated. Boardings at Canyonlands Canyon-lands Field on Frontier flights have been only a fraction of what they once were the past year or tu'if; Mr. Mulville stated. He said that it appeared that the highest boarding years for Frontier in Moab were those where commuter connections con-nections to Salt Lake City and Denver were available. Mr. Mulville stated thst the change will make it necessary ' for him to add one man to the Moab station sta-tion crew. Also, he said, certain equipment will bi neccssan- for servicing and starting the big prop-jefej after their overnight stays "in Moab. Mr. Mulville stated that officials from Frontier's Denver corporate offices would be in Moab this Friday Fri-day to discuss the new schedules and chances for improved boardings with local county, city and economic ec-onomic development, officials. offic-ials.
