Show City Court y Action Reported Only a few matters of criminal importance came before Moab City court during the past week. On June 3, a jury trial was held for William T. Carroll who had been charged with DWI. After a short deliberation, the jury returned a verict of guilty and Carroll was sentenced to 4 months in the county jail with two days of the jail sentence suspended for each Alcoholics Alco-holics Anonymous meeting he attends. Appearing for arraignment arraign-ment on June 3, was Larry Botts who pleaded not guilty to DWI and was ordered to trial on June IS. A guilty plea was entered enter-ed by Gary Doyle on June 7, on a charge of driving during revocation. He was then sentenced to 90 days in jail with the sentence suspended and a probation granted upon the condition condi-tion that he obtain a limited lim-ited license to drive to and from work and that if he is again picked up for this charge he will b? forced to serve the term in jail. Galen L. Winters appeared ap-peared on June 7, on a charge of reckless driving and upon advice of attorney attor-ney Luke Pappas, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a fine of $150 with $30 suspended. |
