Show Steer-only calf sale set On Saturday, Nov. 4, Mole-Richardson Farms Livestock and Equestrian Center on East Orchard Mesa near Grsnd Junction will be the setting for the 2nd Annual Steer Only Club Calf Sale. Some 20 Western Slope cattle breeders are contributing con-tributing stock to the sale. The saie is to be held each year for the youngsters enrolled in 4-H and FFA to select their own beef projects for the summer fairs. Forty to fifty purebred & crossbred steers are expected, ex-pected, sale manager, Pete Parker said. Friday night there will be refreshments re-freshments served along with the display of calves, beginning at 6:30. Saturday's Satur-day's schedule of events will include an 8 a.m. display of calves, lunch at noon, followed by a lecture on nutrition at 1 p.m., with the auction, conducted by Lane Brothers Broth-ers of Delta, at 2 p.m. For further information contact Pete Parker at Mole-Richardson Farms in Palisade, Colo. |
