The women of the club hosted the Toast masters ami their husbands, at the evening of entertainment. Business and Professional Women Entertain Bosses at Banquet The March meeting of the Business and Professional Women was a gala ;iffair, as the ladies hosted their bosses Monday evening at Pearsons. A gay leprechaun bestowed be-stowed his richest blessings frcm a mound of carnations at the head table. Other table ta-ble appointments were in the BPW colors of gree.i and gold. The program, under the direction of Nellie Beyeler, was presented by four members mem-bers of the Toastmasters Club. Mil PimpeLl presided and presented Lloyd Hilton, "After Man, Come Woman;" Dick Hammer, "It All Started Start-ed With Columbus;" Toast-master Toast-master President Emmet t Mays, "Are Women Here to Stay?" and Rob Meadors, "Not Even One Black Eye." Mr. Meadors' speech won second place in the Toast-masters Toast-masters meet in Salt Lake thty recently. Mrs. Mays, Mrs. Hilton and Mrs. Hammer Ham-mer were also guests. BPW members and their bosses were: Dr. and Mr;:. Fred Beyeler, Chester and Frances Warren, Lynn and Elizabeth Pipkin, Sue Austin Aus-tin and Blaine M. Shields of Utah Power & Light; Vi Southard Sou-thard and John OSearain, Principal of Helen M. Knight Elementary; Betty Jacobs and Jacquie Gelo, President ofi the Chamber of Commerce Com-merce and owner and operator oper-ator of Canyonlands Trading Trad-ing Post and Trail Town; and Ann Pool and Marian Ottinger. The April meeting is election elec-tion of officers. The District Spring Conference is April 12 in Price. Nellie Beyeler is District Director. Vi Southard Sou-thard is President of tho Moab club. |
