Show First Weekend of Moab Cleanup Drive Saw Much Work Accomplished Cleanup Chairman, Bill Taylor, Tay-lor, reported this week that the County-wide campaign 'got well under way last Saturday Sat-urday w!:h many residents beginning to clean their yards and several groups turned cut to lend their aid on several sev-eral projects around town. Members of the Lions Club and Elks Lodge began their big push to remove old junked junk-ed cars from the streets of the city and county. A discouraging note to the opening day of the campaign was the poor turnout cf groups that had pledged their support in cleaning up areas within the c?ty and county. It is hoped, said Taylor, that more people will show up this weekend for work. One area thrt still needs a great deal of attention, emphasized the chairman, is along main street and it should be the job of the businesses along the street to clean up the area. Wednesday, Chief Dalton said that several such orders had been given and that officers wculd continue to give the work ass'gnments throughout the week. |
