Show not too early to start March witfti its wind and weather, seems an odd time to begin thinking about November elections. But it is the planning woi-k done in March and culminating culminat-ing with filing for office in April and May, that makes for a well-balanced ballot for thie voters to make their selections from in November. The official period for filing for office begins in mid-April; with the deadline coming all too soon on May 11. Mass meetings will also be held during this period. Persons, interested in becoming candidates for office this year should do their decision making now. 1970 is an important election year. It will determine deter-mine the fate of a U. S. Senate seat, a District Congressional Con-gressional seat; a Utah' legislative seat and numerous numer-ous County positions, including two County Commission Commis-sion posts. Persons should make sure that the early-in-the- year filing period doesn't catch them unaware. |
