Show Ervin Back in Jail On Additional Charqe After a Brief Release A Colorado man and his wife were charged and held in Grand County Jail Jan. 4 after being arrested arrest-ed by Moab Police officers. offi-cers. Danny Ervin, alias Ronnie Ron-nie Edmonds, is back in the county jail after one night of freedom. He had been held in jail since Nov. 19 when he was charged with the burglary at Tag-A-Long Tours, which a jury trial in District Dis-trict Court found him not guilty of Jan. 3. He was released from jail that day after the trial. Ervin was charged with supplying false identification identifi-cation and, secondly, was charged with interference in the arrest by law enforcement en-forcement officers. His wife, Debra, alias Brenda Ervin, is charged with making a false statement under oath. Debra was arrested ar-rested by Sgt. Lawrence Rowley at a local club Jan. 4 at 3 a.m., and her husband was arrested later that morning at 9:15 a.m. by Chief of Police Melvin Dalton at a local trailer court. Complaints on the two subjects were signed by Chief Dalton on Jan. 6 before Judge Donald C. Crist. Ervin is also wanted want-ed in Colorado where warrants have been issued is-sued for his arrest. In other police action, a 19"65 Volkswagen van driven by Susan Woodward Wood-ward ran into a 1973 Ford driven by Cynthia Beck at the Poor Boy parking lot Jan. 2. No damage was caused to the Beck vehicle, but the van received $150 worth of damage. There were no citations given since the accident was on private property. At the intersection of Cane Creek Drive and Main Street on Jan. 4, Blaine Harminson was driving east in a 1966 Ford which struck a 1970 Ford pickup driven by Garth Browner who was making a right turn into a service station. Harminson Har-minson was cited for driving dri-ving with his lights out causing an accident. This incident was investigated by officer Val Teeples. v Ross John Tabberer was driving north in the tjrand County High School parking lot in a 1965 Olds-mobile Olds-mobile Jan. 3 when his car hit a 1969 Chrysler driven by Helen Martinez. Martin-ez. The Chrysler damage was estimated to be about ab-out $50, and the damage to the Oldsmobile was valued at about $300. This was investigated by Mr. Dalton. Nancy Taylor's 1967 Volkswagen was hit in the Westerner Grill parking lot Dec. 30 by an unknown un-known vehicle doing approximately ap-proximately $200 damage to her car. This acci- dent was investigated by Officer Gene Miglioriand is still under investiga-tion. |
