Northeast of Moab at an elevation of 6, 300 feet, Mobil Oil is drilling at 10,680 feet at its No. 1 Federal exploratory test well. Mobil will drill to a planned objective in Mis-si Mis-si ssippian formation at about 12,800 feet. And just south of Moab, Cities Ci-ties Service Oil is drilling drill-ing at 8,120 feet at the No. 1 Federal-Weaver. In San Juan County about six miles southeast of Big Indian field, Flying Fly-ing Diamond Corporation Corpora-tion is drilling below 9,950 feet at the scheduled sched-uled 10,500 foot test, the No. 1-9 Southeast Lisbon. Lis-bon. And in the Blanding vicinity, Mountain Fuel Supply is conducting tests at the No. 1 Car-ter-Leverton well. It is at .5, 900 feet, total depth. Texaco Inc. has a dozen doz-en wells scheduled or being be-ing drilled in the Aneth area at present. Texaco is waiting on completion equipment at two wells, conducting tests at four others and just finished running production casing cas-ing at another, in the field. Superior Oil has also been active in the vicinity. |
