Show F-l Contest Jackpot Bach Hp to $78.50 The jackpot in the big Times Mystery Personality Person-ality Contest, as it proceeds pro-ceeds to its conclusion at the end of the month now goes back up to $78.50 for this week, as the entry en-try drawn merited just the $7.50 consolation. Vonna Hamaker, whose entry was drawn by Clive Gary, correctly identified identi-fied the Mystery Personality Pers-onality as Ray Branscom Sr., but she listed 17 clues instead of the correct cor-rect number, 15. In interviewing Ray to obtain clues for the contest, con-test, we discovered two were exactly the same as clues used in the contest con-test the week before with Harry Snow. So we decided de-cided to use them again, just where they were on the Mystery Personality page. They were 20 year resident in the Custom Craft ad, and Fishing, Hunting, Camper in the Family Budget Clothing ad. We thought that would throw off some of our more avid and observant contest entrants. But it didn't. They put them down on the clues lists, good and proper. But to our horror, we discovered discov-ered after the paper was printed, that an erroneous clue had been left from Mr. Snow's week, in the Business Directory. That clue was Orangeville Native. Na-tive. Unfortunately, Mrs. Hamaker Ha-maker (and most of our readers) thought it was a true clue, and put it in her list. And we might have eaten a little crov and given her the wholt prize anyway, since th( error was ours, but shi had another erroneou: clue, and that put hei clear out of the runninj for the $43 prize of thi week. Her w rong clue wa: Community Oneida, par of the Gift Shop Jeweler ad in the New Year's Ba by Contest page. We feel we must poin out to our readers, how ever, that one of the clue on Mr. Branscom wa Jayhawker, which is person who comes fror Kansas, which rules oi the possibility of his be ing an Orangeville Nathan Nath-an d we even checked th zip code directory t make sure of that. The clue list follows Check it out and see wher you might have goofed up If you had them all right we offer condolances an wish you luck in winnin, next time.
